Description and Basic Information ::
|
Cleo Parker is a 28-year-old multi-cultural performing arts institution that began as a grass roots company. Educating its audience, particularly children is a major focal point of the group. The company believes that the language of dance transcends all cultural and racial boundaries and that if it is to survive and prosper, the tradition of dance will need to be carried on by future generations.
In addition to the 300-seat theatre, they have a year round dance school, lectures, demonstrations and an intervention program called Project Self Discovery. The betterment of the community is a priority that the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance ensemble takes seriously. |
